iTunes 7.0.2 takes up 100% CPU when downloading?  [Digg.com This!]

This is something I've noticed with previous version of iTunes for Windows, but 7.0.2 seems especially bad. Why should downloading one file cause iTunes to max out my Athlon 3200+ CPU??

As soon as the file has finished transferring iTunes resumes low CPU usage:

I think this may be a problem not unique to the Windows version. I'm on a Mac and no longer try to watch video podcasts in iTunes when I'm downloading content from it. It's just is too much for the CPU to handle all at once.

Same for me...

So I simply stopped downloading podcasts with iTunes. How bad is that?

Still happens with iTunes 7.1. I don't know why iTunes takes so much CPU time to simply download a file, but it does.

I also notice issues with iTunes taking up too much CPU whilst playing music, and especially video. (Wayyyy more than competing products.) Maybe the iTunes for Windows team have problems with multi-threading.
